Developmental Stage (Grades 6-8)
Comprehensive learning, leadership, and preparation for the future.
Structuring Success
In middle school, our curriculum is designed to provide a comprehensive and engaging learning experience. In addition to the NCERT textbooks, we incorporate supplementary books, audio-visual content, and school kits to enhance the learning process.
Crucially, our curriculum is structured backwards from Class 10, ensuring that students are building the necessary conceptual foundation and exam readiness well in advance for high school and board exams.
Academic Rigor & Preparation
- Robust Concepts: Students achieve a deep understanding of core subjects like Mathematics, Science, and Social Science, moving beyond rote learning to application.
- Practical Learning: By Grade 8, the focus shifts to holistically enhancing understanding through hands-on projects and laboratory work.
- Competitive Edge: To support aspirations for future competitive exams, we offer foundation coaching for IIT/JEE starting from Grade 6.
Leadership & Talent
- Public Speaking: Debate clubs and public speaking sessions are integral, helping students develop confidence and articulation.
- Leadership Skills: Particularly in Grade 7, students practice and hone their leadership abilities through student council activities and group projects.
- Sports & Arts: Co-curriculars include cricket, football, music, and dance, along with opportunities to shine in inter-school competitions.
Values & Mental Well-being
The middle school years are a time of significant personal growth. At Malgudi, we prioritize Mental Well-being and Value Education through our unique "Subject+" classes. These sessions, along with Yoga, help students develop focus, concentration, and emotional balance. Cultural activities and festival celebrations further reinforce values, helping students appreciate diverse traditions.
