School Rules & Regulations

At Malgudi Vidyanikethan, we believe that discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment. Our rules are designed to create a safe, respectful, and conducive learning environment for all students. Enrollment in the school implies an agreement to abide by these regulations.
General Conduct & Discipline
General Behaviour
- Students must display politeness, courtesy, and respect towards teachers, staff, and fellow students at all times.
- Bullying, use of abusive language, or any form of physical aggression is strictly prohibited and attracts severe disciplinary action.
- Students are expected to maintain silence in the corridors and while moving between classrooms.
- Care must be taken of school property. Any damage caused to furniture, walls, or equipment will have to be compensated by the student concerned.
Uniform & Grooming
- Students must wear the complete and correct school uniform on all working days and during school functions.
- Uniforms must be neat, clean, and ironed. Shoes must be polished.
- Identity Cards are mandatory and must be worn every day.
- Girls are not permitted to apply nail polish, mehndi, or wear excessive jewellery. Only small ear studs are allowed.
- Hair must be neatly groomed. Boys must have a short, decent haircut. Girls with long hair must plait it neatly.
Punctuality & Attendance
- Students must be inside the school premises at least 5 minutes before the first bell.
- Latecomers will not be permitted to attend classes without permission from the Principal.
- Regular attendance is compulsory. Minimum 75% attendance is required for promotion to the next class.
- Leave of absence must be applied for in writing by the parent/guardian in the school almanac.
Prohibited Items
- Mobile phones, smartwatches, cameras, and iPods are strictly prohibited within the school campus. If found, they will be confiscated.
- Students should not bring large sums of money or valuable articles to school. The school is not responsible for the loss of such items.
- Bringing sharp objects, crackers, or any hazardous material is strictly forbidden.
Library & Laboratories
- Strict silence must be observed in the library. Books lost or damaged must be replaced by the student.
- Laboratory equipment must be handled with care under the supervision of the teacher. Breakage must be reported immediately.
- Computer systems must be used only for educational purposes as directed by the instructor.
Transport & Safety
- Students using the school bus must maintain discipline and remain seated while the bus is in motion.
- Indiscipline in the bus may lead to withdrawal of the transport facility.
- Parents must ensure they are present at the pickup/drop points at the designated times.
- Students are not allowed to drive motorized vehicles to school.
Parental Cooperation
We request parents to cooperate with the school in enforcing these rules to ensure the holistic development of the child. Please check the school almanac daily for remarks and circulars.
